The Head of Service of Ekiti State, Mrs Olapeju Babafemi has mourned the death of Mr Michael Lekan Aiyeleso, a retired Permanent Secretary in Ekiti State.
The Head of Service in her tribute to the deceased described Aiyeleso’s death as “shocking”; saying that the late former Permanent Secretary had “great moments” and showed brotherliness and warm friendship to everyone during his lifetime.
Mrs Babafemi who asserted that the deceased was “an ebullient and lively personality” said Aiyeleso’s lifestyle taught the lessons of “calmness, humaneness, and diligence which will serve us well for many years to come”.
While recalling deceased’s Pubic Service career, the Head of Service stated that the late Aiyeleso was a vibrant and astute administrator who did his best for the Public Service of Ekiti State.
”Oga Lekan Aiyeleso was a vibrant administrator and he rose to the peak of his career as Permanent Secretary. Life planted him in the Civil Service, and therein he bloomed. In the first term of Dr. Kayode Fayemi, he served meritoriously in the then Office of Establishments and Training. An astute administrator, well versed in establishment and management matters. He carried himself with elegance and discharged his duties with kindness and vigour. Certainly, he did his best for Ekiti Public Service”, she said.
Mrs Babafemi who described the deceased as one of the heroes of the State Public Service said he would be sorely missed for his “amiable disposition”; adding that his memory would always be evergreen.
She prayed God to give the deceased’s family and the entire Public Service of Ekiti State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
