The Ekiti State Ministry of Justice will today in Ado Ekiti launch a Legal Information Service. The Attorney-General & Commissioner for Justice, Olawale Fapohunda, made this known in Ado Ekiti yesterday during in an interactive session with a cross section of the Media.
Fapohunda said that the Legal Information Service is a web-based platform for Lawyers in Ekiti State and Ekiti State Lawyers in diaspora.
He explained that, “the platform will provide information on current court decisions, developments in the legal profession, important law publications as well as career opportunities for lawyers from Ekiti State within and outside Nigeria”
Fapohunda said that “continuous legal education, enhancing professionalism in legal practice as well as creating opportunities for the growth of the legal profession in the State are the main reasons behind this initiative”.
The Attorney- General disclosed that all Lawyers from Ekiti State will be invited to subscribe to the platform free of charge for the next 6 months.
The Ekiti State Legal Information Service is an initiative of the Ministry of Justice in partnership with the three Branches of the Nigerian Bar Association in Ekiti State.
