Its a once yearly rite for everyone, the birthday anniversary. The norm for Gov Fayemi’s aides for marking their birthday has shifted from the flamboyant parties to supporting the various societal correcting institutions ranging from special schools for physically challenged children to the motherless babies homes and even the correctional prisons institute.
This year, the Special Adviser on Security Matters to the Governor, Rtd Brig Gen Ebenezer Ogundana took the march for his 60th birthday to Erelu Adebayo motherless babies home at Iyin-Ekiti where he philanthropically played a fatherly role to the wards of the institution.
Cognizant of the Government’s efforts with distributing palliatives to the less privileged, he emphasized that individual support still counts as Gov Fayemi’s government is one tagged ”for the People and by the People”.
The celebrant who was accompanied by his wife stressed that the efforts of government at all levels geared towards cushioning the effect of COVID-19 pandemic especially among the less priviledged should be complemented by public spirited individuals and organisations.
The Rtd. Brig. Gen. Ogundana opined that all well-to-do individuals across the society must be involved in the task of putting smiles on faces of the down trodden.
