
Aare Muyiwa Olumilua definitely must have performed in an exemplary and dignifying manner to have earned himself the honour to head another ministry in the second administrative tenure of Dr John Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti State. The erstwhile commissioner for information and values orientation got redeployed to the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Commerce.
Immediately after the inauguration ceremony which held at the Governor’s conference Hall within the governor’s office today Monday 31st August 2020, the commissioner spoke briefly on moving forward with the new assignment.
Below is the excerpts of the interview:
INTERVIWER: Congratulations sir
HON. MUYIWA OLUMILUA: Thank you
INTERVIEWER: So what do you think about the newly appointed commissioners and do you think they are well pleased to take up what the government placed on ground?
AARE MUYIWA OLUMILUA: I would say a big yes. You see our Governor Dr, Kayode Fayemi is a very deliberate person, He is not wanton, he is not random you know he must have given it a lot of thought and going by the pedigree and antecedent of the people that were sworn in today, I believe they are properly suited for those portfolios.
INTERVIEWER: So we should expect a change or a higher version of what has been placed on ground from the people.
AARE MUYIWA OLUMILUA: Oh yes! I believe what you are going to witness is the reengineering of the executive council, you know a reengineered government.
INTERVIEWER: What would be your charge for the new appointees?
AARE MUYIWA OLUMILUA: I will tell them to put in their very best, first and foremost the reason for their appointment is service delivery, every other thing comes second.
INTERVIEWER: Please sir can you tell us your name and portfolio?
AARE MUYIWA OLUMILUA: I am the commissioner of Trades, Investment and Industry.
INTERVIEWER: So what should we expect from you as a commissioner
AARE MUYIWA OLUMILUA: Trust me anywhere I go to the bells ring.
