The Chairman of Ado local government Chief Mrs. Motunde Fajuyi has heaped praises on the Ekiti State football association for its grassroots football development programs.
Chief Mrs. Fajuyi stated this at the reception held for the Ado U-13 and U-15 team that both finished tops at the Late Oba Ademola Ajakaiye memorial U-13 football competition and the Prof. Akin Oyebode U15 football competition for boys and girls.
She further commended the boys and their technical crew for doing the local government proud in both competitions and pledged to always support the kids in any all area.
Reacting to the statement made by Chief Mrs Fajuyi, Chairman of the Ekiti State football association Mr Bayo Olanlege affirmed that the association will continue to more grassroots football development for the kids in the state and football should be taken seriously because its a means out of poverty and one of the most profitable business in the world.
Olanlege further encouraged parents to support their children in participating in any sporting activity of their choice.
The players as well as the team managers for both U-13 and U-15 teams were rewarded with cash prizes during the program which ended with merry and celebrations.
The event packaged by the Ado local government had in attendance dignatries which included the vice chairman of Ado LG in person of Hon. Yomi Osho, Chairman of Ekiti state Sport council, Hon.(Mrs) Osetoba Olusola who also represented the Ekiti state commissioner of sport., Chairman of Ado LG All Progressive Congress party, Hon. Olaleye and the representative of Oluyin of Iyin, Chief Adebayo Akerele Ajakaiye.
