The Senior Special Assistant on Mobilization to the Governor of Ekiti State, Prince Tunji Ogunlola has assured the people of Iluomooba-ekiti of more government presence in the community.
Ogunlola stated this yesterday while addressing members of Okelau quarters during their community meeting held at Iluomooba multipurpose hall.
He commended the people of the town for supporting the present administration in the state under the leadership of Dr Kayode Fayemi.
The Spokesman of the quarters, Mr Joseph Oguntuase thanked governor Fayemi for appointing their son,Hon Ilesanmi Oguntuase as one of his aides and solicited for more appointment and employment for the teeming youths of the town.
Mr Oguntuase said the major problem confronting them in the town and the entire Gbonyin local government is lack of electricity which they have been facing for over seven years. He also pleaded with the government to construct roads leading to their farms so that they will be able to transport their farm produces to the city centre.
Ogunlola in his response assured them that the town will benefit from the 1,000 kilometres of farm to market access roads which will soon commence in the state. He empathized with them over lack of power of supply in the local government. Ogunlola said the situation is given the Governor a serious concern and assured them that the state government will take steps to address the situation.
Also speaking, the Special Assistant Political (South),Hon Ilesanmi Oguntuase who is an indegene of the town and the Special Assistant on Mobilization (South),Hon. ijidale Olalekan conveyed the good tidings of the Governor to the people of the town. They thanked them for the support given to the Governor since he assumed office, urging them to continue to support the policies and programmes of government in order to attract viable projects to the town.
