The Ekiti State Head of Service, Mrs Peju Babafemi has reiterated that
the State Government will continue to compensate and honour officers
that displayed dedication, hard work and loyalty in the discharge of
their duty.
The Head of Service gave the assurance at the send forth programme
organized in honour of the General Manager of the Ekiti State Health
Insurance Scheme (EKHIS), Dr. Joshua Ileke, who retired from the Ekiti
State Civil Service having attained the retirement age of 60 years.
In their remarks, the Permanent Secretaries of Ministry of Health, Dr.
Folakemi Olomojobi, Hospitals Management Board, Dr Williams Afolabi
and Primary Health Care Development Agency, Pham. Bisi Arogundade
described Dr Joshua Ileke as a hardworking and committed officer with
an unusual resilience and patience whose service would be greatly
missed by the Ministry of health and Primary Health Care Development
Agency.
In his response, Dr Ileke expressed deep appreciation to God for
granting him the grace to retire in good health while thanking the
government for giving him the platform to serve humanity.
The celebrant also appreciated colleagues, family and friends for
their support throughout his career.
Dr. Joshua Ileke who joined the Service of Ekiti state as Principal
Dental Officer in 1997 has served in several capacities such as Deputy
Director, Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Health; Director
Planning, Research and Statistics, Ministry of health; Director,
Primary Health Care Development Agency, as well as Acting Executive
Secretary, State Primary Health Care Development Agency between April
2018 – May 2020.
Dr Ileke was appointed as the General Manager of Ekiti State Health
Insurance Scheme in May 2019, the position he held till his retirement
from Service.
Other dignitaries present at the ceremony include Chairman State
Primary Health Care Development Agency, Chief Monisola Oloro, WHO
Coordinator in Ekiti state, Dr Kolude, Chief Medical Director, EKSUTH,
Prof Kayode Olabanji, NHIS Coordinator in Ekiti state, Mr Tola
Daramola, former Ekiti State NLC Chainman, Prince Ade Adesanmi among
others.
