The newly appointed Commissioner for Environment and Natural
Resources, Mrs Iyabo Fakunle-Okieimen has assumed office with a call
for support by the staff of the Ministry to enable her succeed in the
herculean task ahead.
The Commissioner made the plea while addressing the staff of the
Ministry after she was warmly received with songs and prayers in her
office.
Mrs Fakunle enjoined the workers to always work in team and support
the present administration so as to move the Ministry to enviable height
She pledged to work assiduously with the support of the staff to move
the ministry forward by providing a more conducive, healthy and
hygienic environment for the people of the state.
The Ministry’s new boss who could not hide her feelings expressed her
appreciation to Almighty God and thanked the State Governor for giving
her the opportunity to serve in that capacity.
Responding, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr Tokunbo Alokan
who led the staff to receive the Commissioner pledged the tacit
support of the workers to her.
Also the permanent Secretary conducted the Commissioner round the
offices to get her acquainted with the Ministry.
