
The commissioner for health and human services Dr Oyebanji Filani has
called for total cooperation and support of all the members of Ekiti
State health team.
Dr. Filani made this plea in his office when he officially assumed
duty as the new Commissioner for Health and Human Services in Ekiti
state.
He said he has come to complete the good works that his predecessor
had started under the leadership of Dr. Kayode Fayemi as he promised
to operate an open door policy.
He urged that all hands must be on deck to achieve the goal of
ensuring quality health care services for the people of Ekiti State
having a mandate from the governor to transform Ekiti state health
care system in a way that would showcase Ekiti as a beacon for the
entire nation.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health and Human
Services, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi and her counterpart in the Primary
Health, Pharmacist Olabisi Arogundade on behalf of the ministry and
agencies welcomed the new commissioner and pledged the support of the
entire workforce.
Dr. Olomojobi urged the new commissioner to use his influence and
connections to facilitate moving the health system in Ekiti State
forward in a way that would be a shining example to others.
Also in his entourage were the two honorable members of Ekiti State
House of Assembly representing Ikole constituency, Hon. Gboyega
Aribisogan and Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, Senior Special Assistant on
Public Health to the Governor, Dr. Jimlas Ogunsakin and two of his
professional friends from Ondo state.
The commissioner was ushered into the office with praise, worship and
prayers by the staffs of the ministry.
