Segun Dele Dipe’s response to Olusoga Owoeye’s diatribe on FB:
Olusoga Owoeye, feel free and let’s lay it bare. Unlike you, I’ve never deviated from my belief. I was introduced to Ekiti politics/JKF by OJ to serve as the Spokesperson of the party. When we lost the election in 2014, I still pitched with the Ojudu camp against JKF. Or where were you and the other latter-day Ojudu converts when we camped in Oshogbo. I risked my all for Ojudu and his ambition. Despite working in the corporate environment as Director of Corporate Communications with the Institute of Directors (I’m currently on a leave of absence), I wrote the first piece urging Ojudu to run and I wrote the last piece defending/justifying Ojudu’s aspiration even after he had left the field, abandoning those of us his loyal followers. I publicly announced my determination to stick with my progressive fold and I worked for the candidate that had emerged (JKF). When invited to work for the PDP Eleka during the governorship election, I declined. I refused to attend the meeting which you and other OJ guys attended with Eleka and his team. Those who attended but refused to tag along are still alive to testify. Of course the PDP lost and you guys quickly retraced your steps back to APC only to constitute yourself to the enemy within and started scheming to hijack the party structure. When that wasn’t possible, you started blackmailing JKF and the APC administration in Ekiti. When I was invited to serve, the first person I informed was Ojudu and he wished me well. To expect me to start working against my principal’s interest from inside and defending the course of his enemy even if that enemy is my dad, is not in my DNA. I never betrayed Ojudu while in his camp, so why should I betray Fayemi now. It’s you guys that left, and it’s you guys that will return to us like the prodigal son. The earlier, the better.
