It is the outcome of the power struggle between Olujimi and Fayose that will prove conclusively whether Ekiti PDP members are born slaves or true-born Ekiti people who cherish their liberty and pride. Whoever wins must be drawing on the support of the majority of members.
If they go for Olujimi, that is a testimony that they are born free to enjoy their liberty and pride. If they opt for Fayose, then they have driven nail ( 6-inch nail) into their collective political coffin. Olujimi is a kind human being that gives generously in and out of government. She gives to the needy and offers succour for the weak. Conversely, Fayose is ruthless and doesn’t spend personal money outside government. Instead, he goes about seeking contributions from members for a collective agenda, which will later metamorphose into his personal agenda. And when he spends while in government and on behalf of the government for the people, go and check how much he actually spends and how much he claims for reimbursement.
Outside the government, Fayose tells members that he is their messiah. They must contribute money for his structure to enable him play the roles of their messiah. After attaining the throne, the song changes to “Ekiti State is broke”. He is silent on his personal solvency.
For now, Ekiti PDP members are playing ludo with their lives. It is the outcome of the power struggle between Fayose and Olujimi that will determine whether Ekiti PDP members are themselves their own enemies or they are destined by the gods to live in perpetual servitude.
