Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has fired another salvo in his ongoing political commentary, this time targeting a statement issued by one of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s media aides.
Fayose reacted on Thursday to a press release by Paul Ibe, a media aide to Atiku, concerning a recent meeting between Atiku and Seyi Makinde in Minna.
In a statement, Fayose expressed amusement at Ibe’s response but suggested that Atiku may not have authorised it.
He challenged Atiku to publicly disown the statement within 48 hours.
“Should Atiku not publicly disown the statement within the next 48 hours, I will have no option but to spill more beans—particularly what was said about Nyesom Wike—and by then, I will be doing so without any atom of respect for him,” Fayose warned.
Fayose concluded his statement with a cryptic note: “Till then, we keep our gunpowder dry.”
