Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, his sacked his Chief-of-Staff, Chidi Amadi.
Amadi is said to be relative of the immediate past governor and current Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.
His sack followed recent political development where members of the house of assembly attempted to impeach the leader of the house, Ehie Edison in order to pave the way for the governor’s impeachment.
The leadership of the All Progressive Congress had alleged in June that Wike appointed all the governor’s aides, describing Fubara’s regime as Wike’s third term.
Also sacked by the governor was the government house chief security officer, Promise Wosu. Wosu was a former commander of the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS in the state between 2012 to 2015.
