
In a sweeping move, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has wielded the axe, announcing the abrupt termination of the appointments of 21 top officials overseeing various parastatals, agencies, and government enterprises under the FCT Administration (FCTA).
The directive, which sent shockwaves through the capital, was unveiled through a press statement by Anthony Ogunleye, Director of Press in the Office of the Minister.
The affected appointees have been instructed by Wike to promptly hand over the reins of their respective offices to the most senior officers in terms of rank.
