As Kogi state inches closer and closer to her target of Universal Health Coverage, the Kogi State Ministry of Health inaugurated the Steering Committee for the Implementation of Basic Health care provission fund on 8th October 2019.
You will recal that in April this year, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor
Of Kogi State assented two important bills; the Kogi State Health Insurance Agency Bill and an amendment to the bill establishing the Primary Health Care Under One Roof (PCHUOR). This paved the way for Kogi State to access the Basic Health Care Provision fund.
On full implementation kogited can access Health care any day and at any time (without the hindrance of Household Out-of-Pocket Health expenditure) irrespective of ethnic extract, location, social class or party affiliation.
Indeed the our deepest appreciation goes to His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Health Friendly Governor for releasing the sum of #100m bond amongst other requirements to participate in this Program. He has made Health his top priority and has given us unwavering support in achieving milestones in the Kogi State Health Sector.
