According to a senior journalist in the country, governors in the northern states of Nigeria now govern their people from the federal capital territory, Abuja over fear of being ambushed in the government house.
The governors only return to their states whenever there is serious business or need to engage the media.
According to the journalist who does not want his name to be in the public domain, the governors also accused the federal government of not doing enough to secure the northern region.
The Niger State Government on Thursday blamed the government for not doing what’s necessary to help the state in protecting the 27 understudies of Government Science School, Kagara and 15 others, crooks grabbed from the school last Wednesday.
Lead representative Sani Bello, while playing host to Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Kalu, who paid him a compassionate visit in Minna, the state capital said the government has left the state to bear all the monetary duties of the frailty in the state.
