A strategic meeting between the Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) Mr Mohammed A. Ibrahim and the Statistician-General of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Prince Adeyemi Adeniran, convened to deepen collaboration around data-driven agricultural development.
In his opening remarks, the Statistician-General emphasized that “we are not only producers of data; we are the coordinators and custodians of Nigeria’s official statistics, ensuring that policy, investment, and planning are built on credible and accessible evidence.”
The Executive Secretary of NADF, Mr Mohammed A. Ibrahim, reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to evidence-based financing, stating that “as Nigeria’s first agricultural development fund, we have no option but to be completely data-driven.”
This strategic dialogue marks the beginning of a purposeful partnership aimed at building a data-driven agricultural ecosystem in Nigeria.
