The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the general election in Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, with 246,477 votes in Ondo State.
The former two-term Lagos State Governor won by wide margins all the 18 local government areas of the state.
He polled 361,944 votes, while Abubakar garnered 115,467 votes.
The Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission for the poll in Ondo State and Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Prof. Abayomi Fashakin, announced the results in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Sunday.
