…Ekiti son awarded RYLA 2019 PRIZE OF HONOUR FOR TECHNOLOGY
The Nigerian Youth Scene/Network is more than ever alive. RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) an initiative of Rotary International that started in 1989 and operates globally to positively shape and prepare youths in various communities for leadership and success in their chosen endeavors awards carefully selected persons.
According to the Chairman, RYLA Prize of Honor is an initiative designed to identify and recognise whilst celebrating outstanding young individuals between the age of 14 to 30, who have demonstrated exceptional energy and skills in their chosen profession or area of interest/passion within various communities.
Ekiti indigene and Entrepreneur, Adaraniwon Oluwatosin (CEO Glimpse Nigeria), was amongst persons awarded the RYLA 2019 Prize his category of award is Honour for Technology in this year’s edition of the Awards. The recognition came following his illustrious engagement of youths in the State to make positive impacts through a series of mentorship and empowerment programmes.
The presentation ceremony held at the Opening Ceremony of the 35th Boot Camp at Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre (Sea School), Apapa, Lagos on Sunday.
Oluwatosin was selected for the prestigious award following ratification by Rotary District 9110 through RYLA 2019 committee and its selection panel.
The Chairman RYLA 2019 Committee, Abiodun Oshinibosi said, “Your selection is a result of thorough research and review of your exemplary and outstanding strides in the field of focus regardless of the perceived economic challenges.”
Mr. Oshinibosi continued that beyond the recognition award, recipients will be further exposed to resources that can help horn or support their respective interests. “For this maiden edition, our period of focus will be 2013 to 2018 while subsequent editions will focus on the immediate previous year.
Winners in other categories are; Creative Director, Mimis Kreationz, Nwosu Mimmi Ginikachi (FASHION); Ace Comedian, Bayegun Oluwatoyin A.K.A AROLE (ENTERTAINMENT); Founder, House of Denny, Adenike Olatunji (ENTREPRENEURSHIP); CEO Tepebo Farm, Adeniyi Adenuga (AGRICULTURE); and CEO Dara Naturals, Dara Amanda (CREATIVITY).
Other categories of the Awards include; RYLA PRIZE OF HONOUR FOR ACTING, RYLA PRIZE OF HONOUR FOR CITIZENSHIP, RYLA PRIZE OF HONOUR FOR MUSIC, and RYLA PRIZE OF HONOUR FOR SPORT.
