Pupils of Oakland Kids Nursery and Primary School Akure have embarked on an Excursion to Crest 106.1FM, Akure as part of the school’s extra curricular activities to acquaint the pupils with processes involved in Radio Broadcasting.
The pupils who could not hide their joy and excitement, were beaming with delight as they were conducted round the facility and broadcast equipment of the station.
Speaking in separate interviews, some of the pupils, Ademola Agunbiade, Divine Akande, and Adesire Adebisi, said they love what they saw at Crest FM and how they were taken through the processes of News gathering and dissemination.
The pupils said they can’t thank their teachers and proprietor enough for the exposure given them through the Excursion to Crest FM.
They also expressed satisfaction with the news and programming of the station, promising to keep listening to the station at all times.
Also speaking, the Head Mistress of Oakland Kids Nursery and Primary School Akure, Mrs. Towolawi Omolola, explained that the school embarked on the excursion to expose the pupils to the workings of the Radio Station, and make them familiar with broadcasting.
