The Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area and Ifelodun Local Council Development Area, launched the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Movement, popularly known as BAT MOVEMENT yesterday at Local Authority Pry School, Ago-Hausa.
The event which was geared towards endorsement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President ahead 2023 presidential election in Nigeria witnessed ensemble of political heavyweights across various ethnic groups from the LGA and LCDA respectively.
While delivering his welcome address, Co-ordinator of BAT MOVEMENT in AJIF LGA and lawmaker representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency 1, at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Lukmon Sa’ad Olumoh, said the entire party members from the two government in the grassroots of Ajegunle has decided to pledge their support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidential aspiration.
“We want to use this event to unveil our national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the position of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria through the APC platform,” he added.
Hon. Fatai Olatunji Oluwa, lawmaker representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, corroborated position of the BAT MOVEMENT co-ordinator, when he asserted that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu fought for the release of seized Lagos State government allocations from the Federal level, and that the national leader has sacrificed for the country in greater measure. He also used the medium to promote the political aspiration of Lagos State Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.
According to Hon. Oluwa, “we are here to showcase the ambition of number 3 citizens in Lagos State.”
He went further by saying that the political ambition of Hon. Mudashiru Obasa is one that must be known across the South-west because “We are giving them the very best,” he was quoted as saying.
And he concluded by saying: “that’s why we are here to give support for Hon. Mudashiru Obasa as Senator for Lagos-West Senatorial District.”
Council Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area, Hon. Fatai Adekunle Ayoola was apt in his submission about the presidential aspiration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the event.
He said: “I can assure you that all the people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun, no matter the religion or tribe, will subscribe to the emergence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria.”
He added by requesting participants at the event to show their support for Asiwaju by raising their hands, and which the crowd responded positively in accordance with the directive.
In a similar situation, Hon. Ayoola equally solicited support and endorsement for the political aspiration of Lagos State Speaker; Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa to represent Lagos-West Senatorial District at the red chamber of national assembly.

Receiving delegates of the BAT MOVEMENT, Apex leader, Lagos-West Senatorial District, Prince Rabiu Adio Oluwa asserted that the support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not negotiable because he has raised prominent politicians, especially the President; Muhammad Buhari GCFR.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sacrificed immensely for the progress of democracy in Nigeria, and this is payback time, he must be given the total support.” He said.
Moving further, the former council chairman in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area and leader of G-16 in AJIF LGA said both Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area and Ifelodun Local Council Development Area has endorsed the former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to the delight of all in attendance.
The inauguration of the BAT/OBASA 2023 Movement includes entire APC leaders such as, Apex leader, Lagos- West Senatorial District, Prince Rabiu Adio Oluwa in honour of our national leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidential ambition. Other notable leaders includes Comrade Olusegun Ogunbanjo former Federal House of Representatives, representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal constituency, Dr. Abiola Ajijola, who was the first Ajeromi-Ifelodun executive Chairman, Hon. Kalejaiye Adegboye, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, Chairman Lagos State civil service Commission, the two council chairmen of Hon. Fatai Adekunle Ayoola and Hon. Fatai Shuaib Ajidagba, for Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area and Ifelodun Local Council Development Area, all Apex leaders of both Ajeromi and Ifelodun, the 16 ward Chairmen, LGAs’ officers, Comrade Remi Williams who is Educational Secretary in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Education Area, ward excos and party faithfuls, All Baales and Baloguns, NURTW, Traders, artisans, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and League of Imams, among several others.
