A chieftain of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) suspected to be involved in the gruesome killing of Dr. Fatai Aborode has been arrested by the Oyo State Police Command on Thursday.
The suspect, pa Olawuwo is said to be detained at Dugbe Police Division.
Meanwhile, local party chairmen from Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North LGAs, Alhaji Yisau Tapa, former caretaker chairman Iliasu Ololade as well as Mr Obey from Igboora were spotted at the police station.
Dr. Fatai Aborode relocated to Nigeria after leaving and working abroad for some time.
Dr. Aborode bought large piece of land in Igangan, Ibarapa area of Oyo state for large scale farming.
He hailed from there.
Aborode contested for a House of Representatives seat under SDP and lost.
It was reported that he later decamped to PDP (both are the same anyways).
He went to his farm last December where he was assassinated.
The media and the people concluded that he was killed by Fulanis.
His killing was the major reason Oyo state became a jungle.
The Governor was briefed by the security agents and he told the world that his killing was political. The Governor is a PDP man.
No one wanted to listen because it didn’t align with their assumption.
The victim’s father corroborated the Governor but he was ignored too.
Today, Pa Olawuwo has been arrested in connection with the assassination of the young vibrant man.
Pa Olawuwo is a PDP Chieftain from Aborode’s Ibarapa clan.
Other party chieftains were at the front of SARS office, Dugbe, Ibadan.
They have to identify with their colleague.
