Popular Islamic cleric, Dr Rabiu Umar Rijiyar Lemo has reacted to the court order stopping the Kano state government from organizing a debate between Sheikh Abduljabbar and Kano Ulamas which was slated to hold on Sunday.
The cleric in a post on his Facebook page said both the judge and the lawyer that orchestrated the suspension of the debate should get ready to explain to Almighty Allah what they have done.
The cleric who was among the top Ulama that are expected to lead the debate said “The judge and the lawyer should prepare an explanation to Allah.”
Recently there was a long phone conversation going round between the two clerics (Sheikh Abduljabbar and Dr. Rabiu), which was considered among the reasons that the two will best ensemble the debate.
A magistrate court in Kano stopped Kano state Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from organizing a debate between Sheikh Abduljabbar Kabara and Kano clerics scheduled to take place on Sunday.
The decision came after a Kano based lawyer, Ma’auruf Yakasai filed a case asking the court to stop Ganduje from organizing the debate, which was postponed until 22 March, 2021 after a second hearing.
Meanwhile the Kano state government vowed to obey the court order and postponed the debate slated to hold on Sunday.
Commissioner for justice, Barrister Musa Lawan confirmed this development to BBC Hausa service, saying that they will for the court decision.
