
Ekiti State Head of Service (HOS), Mr Ayodeji Ajayi has said workers
who are qualified for the 2018 and 2019 promotions will get their
letters of promotion before the end of this year.
The Head of Service, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary,
Ekiti State Scholarship Board, Dr. Bimpe Osundare stated this while
declaring open a day workshop organised by the Office of Capacity
Development and Reforms at the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s
Office Extension for Engineers in the State Public Service.
Ajayi, who noted that the Dr. Kayode Fayemi-led administration is
committed to the welfare of workers in the state, disclosed that
activities leading to the promotion of the concerned officers have
commenced and would be completed as soon as possible.
He noted that the workshop with the theme: ‘Project Implementation and
Evaluation’ was made possible through the commitment of the state
government to human capital development in the Public Service, saying
the State Governor is true to the prescription of the Civil Service
Transformation Strategy (CSTS) agenda which sign posts capacity
development and professionalization of the workforce.
Ajayi urged participants to take advantage of the workshop with
carefully selected topic by quality resource persons in order to birth
a very strong and rejuvenated engineering service delivery in a most
cost effective manner.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Office of Capacity Development and
Reforms, Mr. Oluwadare Ajayi represented by the Director, Training,
Mrs. Bukola Olorunyomi noted that the workshop will enable
participants to get enhanced and updated on their job for effective
service delivery.
He said the training will further expose them to the recent
development in the implementation and evaluation of projects.
Some of the participants, including Mr. Stephen Adewumi from the State
Water Corporation and Mrs. Alabi Rachel from the State Housing
Corporation commended the State government for organising the
workshop, saying it has widened their horizons and added great values
to them.
