Gov. Akeredolu spoke on the topic:”States and the burden of National Development in Nigeria”, at the 3rd Annual Abiola Ajimobi Roundtable & 71st Post Humous birthday.
Governor Akeredolu said as much as Nigeria is adopting the United States of America and Canadian Presidential Democracy, only the Federal and the state are expected to make up the Federating units in the country.
Arakunrin Akeredolu who is the Chairman of Southwest Governors Forum equally spoke on devolution of powers for the states to function optimally for the well-being of their citizens.
The Governor also called for a multi-level policing system so as to bring the issue of security closer to the sub-nationals.
