Adetunmbi, a former senator representing Ekiti North, described the engagement as productive, saying improved coordination among key government institutions would help accelerate development across the South West and other parts of the country.
The South West Development Commission (SWDC) is a regional development agency created to promote economic growth, infrastructure development, and social progress across Nigeria’s South West states.
Established after President Tinubu signed the enabling law in 2025, the commission focuses on supporting projects in roads, agriculture, education, healthcare, and job creation, while working closely with state and federal institutions to reduce development gaps and improve living standards.
