The popular premium event center in Abuja, A-Class Event Centre was virtually taken over by the entire political class of Taraba state, especially those of the APC, to honour one of their very best in person of the Minister of State Steel Development H.E. Uba Maigari Ahmadu.
Maigari Ahmadu who was inaugurated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu along with 44 others on Monday 21st August as ministers of the federal Republic of Nigeria ,was later honoured by his friends, family and political colleagues at the event.
The event attracted politicians from all political divides, notable businessmen, technocrats, traditional rulers, from all over the country, especially from the north eastern Nigerian states of Adamawa, Borno, Gombe, and of course his home state of Taraba, including the former Governor of Cross River State Mr. Donald Duke, former deputy governor of Taraba state, Armayau Abubakar,Umar Garba UTC, and also the wife of the late Governor of Taraba state, Danbaba Suntai, Hauwa Danbaba Suntai.
Notable dignitaries who spoke at the event all expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing one of their very best as a minister.
The speakers included the former Governor of Taraba state, Rev. Jolly Nyame, who described the celebrant as one of the best, if not the best, from the political class in Taraba state. Rev. Jolly Nyame also said that for the first time Taraba state has a real politician appointed as a minister, he further assured Nigerians that Uba Maigari Ahmadu will not disappoint.
Other speakers included Distinguished Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, the Taraba state gubernatorial candidate for the APC in the 2023 elections, who stated that the celebrant was the most deserving of the appointment as a minister because he was the DG of his campaign for the 2023 election.
Engr. Ahmed Yusuf Gamaliel who gave the welcome address thanked everyone for attending and extolled the virtues of the celebrant describing him as a politician with the capacity to unite not only the APC but the entire political class in Taraba state.
Other speakers included the Chairman of the APC in Taraba state, Ibrahim El-Sudi, and former head of service of the federation Danladi Kifasi.
