FOR THE RECORDS: ABANDONED BUILDING IN KADUNA DOES NOT BELONG TO THE NASARAWA STATE GOVERNMENT.
Muhammad Sabiu wrote in TRIBUNE ONLINE about a building in Kaduna where underage boys and girls allegedly meet to drink, smoke and perpetrate acts of debauchery in Kaduna State
Sabiu mentioned in his report that the house was at one time the official residence of ministers during the First Republic and later in 1998 during the sharing of assets and liabilities among the 19 Northern states, the residence was allocated to Nasarawa State government.
The Directorate of Strategic Communication & Press Affairs to His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State will like to make explicitly clear that after the creation of Nasarawa State in 1996, the state had five properties in Kaduna as a result of assets sharing between Plateau and Nasarawa States.
These properties were located at No 6 & 5 Fufure Road; No 9 Ribadu Road and No 26 Lamido Road, as well as No 34 Katuru Road. Four among these properties were sold last year in 2019, including the building where allegedly youths gather to indulge in anti-social vices.
The particular building in contention reported in TRIBUNE ONLINE was bought from the government of Nasarawa State by a company, Planet Blackbone and Hi-Tech System LTD., with offices at A1 KSDPC Shopping Complex, Race Course Kaduna in Kaduna State.
The attention of the public is drawn to note that His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule since assumption of office has brought his business background to bear and has visited every property and evaluated all assets belonging to Nasarawa State government across Nigeria, including those located in Kaduna State which has led to the sale, upgrade and renovation of various Nasarawa State liaison offices across the country.
The government of His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule is an economically driven and prudent administration whose actions and policy steps are well informed and taken in compliance to NEDS i.e. Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy, which is the key strategy and blueprint for realizing the ambitions of Nasarawa State as a financially responsible and truly prosperous economy which improves the economic and social wellbeing of all our citizens through jobs, business, and investment opportunities.
The public is hereby duly informed that at the moment, the one and only one property which belongs to the Nasarawa State government today in Kaduna is located at Number 26 Lamido Road.
