
An Igbo leader, Chief Dr Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu (CFR), has yet again raise the dust along the nation’s tribal divide and threw caution into the air when he openly called Yoruba political rascals, claiming that they would be handled.
Chief Iwuanyanwu made this statement today in Awka, capital of Anambra State, when addressing the audience gathered at an event as part of the activities to mark Governor Charles Soludo’s first year in office.
The town hall meeting was also attended by ex-president, Olusegun Obasanjo, and other dignitaries at the International Convention Center.
“…I want to let our people in Lagos to know that on Wednesday I called a meeting of Ohaneze Council of Elders Worldwide about events in Lagos. …and we’ve resolved that never can we allow anybody to take the life of any innocent Igbo person. All of us are going to fight the person.
“We are in Nigeria and we’ve have invested in Nigeria. Our investments are so much, we’re not going to take the question of people telling us to go. We’re not going anywhere. And I want to let those in Lagos to realise that there is no war between us and Yorubas…,” he said.
