Ekiti State Governor’s Special Adviser on Security, retired General Ebenezer Ogundana, charged the All Progressives Congress APC members to double their efforts and launch an aggressive sensitization campaign ahead of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election on June 20.
He issued the marching order at the party’s Ward 04 Ekiti East LG meeting in Isaya-Ekiti. The gathering also welcomed defectors from the opposition PDP into the APC fold. More than 50 PDP members decamped to APC on Wednesday 22 April 2026 in the Ward Four meeting. Other leaders in attendance were Alhj Shitu Bello and Chief Clement Ojo the APC LG Chairman. The LG Party Chairman welcomed the ew members and he handed over the Party flag to them.
Ogundana’s message was blunt, he reiterated that old and new members must reinforce their resolve to keep Governor Biodun Oyebanji popularly called BAO in office for the second term. He stressed that collective action is non-negotiable; not just for the governor’s second term, but also for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the coming general elections.
He stressed that every ward, every unit, every street, every voter must be reached by all members of the party in their respective towns and villages.
The retired general reminded the gathering that continuity means more development for Ekiti East local governmentin term of—better security, improved agriculture, expanded road networks, stronger infrastructure, and greater social welfare.
He assured that with the continuity of a working Governor like Biodun Oyebanji BAO, more dividends of democracy awaits all, because when he wins, rapid and even development is sure. He also assured the new decampee that they should go for their membership registration.
