Leading commercial airplane manufacturers, Airbus and Boeing Corporations, have urged the United States to delay the rollout of new 5G phone services due to safety concerns. In a letter, top executives at Boeing and Airbus warned that the technology could have “an enormous negative impact on the aviation industry.” Concerns have previously been raised that C-Band spectrum 5G wireless could interfere with aircraft electronics. The Federal Government earned N1.77trillion from sukuk bonds over a period of four years, according to a report obtained by our correspondent. The N1.77trillion sukuk was raised between 2017 and 2021, the report stated. The sukuk bonds, which are sharia-compliant bond-like instruments used in Islamic finance, were issued to finance over 97 road projects across the country. In 2017, the Federal Government raised a N100bn seven-year debut sukuk bond for the financing of 25 road projects across the six geo-political zones of the country. Tens of thousands of people awoke on Christmas morning to a surprise from an unexpected benefactor – Santander. The bank mistakenly deposited £130m into 75,000 accounts on 25 December. A Nigerian nurse, Godbless Uwadiegwu was on Tuesday sentenced to three years in prison for sexually abusing patients in the United States. The 59-year-old was accused of having sexual contact with two patients in two different facilities: Traditions of Deerfield and Otterbein SeniorLife in Maineville.
