The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that there is substantial evidence indicating that Nigerian singer Naira Marley and socialite Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, were involved in an assault on the late singer Mohbad while he was still alive.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, made this revelation on Friday while providing an update on the ongoing investigation into the case involving Mohbad.
Furthermore, Owohunwa revealed that the police have identified a total of 26 witnesses who can provide information related to the incident.
It’s worth noting that Sam Larry previously explained that his altercation with Mohbad was rooted in a dispute over a sum of N2 million owed to him by the late singer.
This situation gained public attention when a video of Sam Larry and others harassing the late singer, Mohbad, surfaced on social media.
While he was still alive, Mohbad had alleged that he was assaulted by Naira Marley following his request for a change of manager.
